The first time I got to know about Ustadz was through his very interesting doctoral thesis, which caught my attention, that is “Explaining the Qur’an Through the Qur’an”.
The second time, when Ustadz joined Ustadz Nouman Ali Khan more often to explain the linguistic miracles of the of Surah Yusuf during Ramadan a few years ago.
This evening, we are very excited to receive Ustadz Dr. Suhaib Said as our guest at Tadabbur Centre Malaysia.
Jazakallah khairan for brother Aktar from Khalifah Model School for helping and making our dream to meet his mentor become a reality, biiznillah.
Our discussion – almost two hours – was not just to seek advice from Ustadz as the senior tafsir consultant for Bayyinah Institute in Dallas, but also because we are very inspired by the Ibnu Ashur Centre in Scotland. We really eager to build more cooperation with Ustadz in the future.
Ustadz has shared too many valuable experiences for us to be more “globally thinking” in delivering tafsir and tadabbur al-Quran in the Malay language.
Dr. Sohaib is well known for his translations of classical works of tafsīr. The first volume of The Great Exegesis by Imam Razi was a recipient of the Sheikh Hamad Award for Translation in 2018.
In 2021, Ustadz took on a key responsibility at Quran.Foundation, overseeing content and quality at the major website Quran.com and its sister site QuranReflect.
